On the issue of an Attachment to a diploma of the European standard (Diploma Supplement)

Graduates of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, who have successfully completed their studies in accredited educational programs, may be issued a Diploma Supplement.

The Diploma Supplement (DS), an annex to a European-style diploma, or the Pan-European Annex to a national diploma, is an official international document developed by a joint working group of representatives of the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO, which is issued in addition to the educational document.

The issuance of the Diploma Supplement is one of the main parameters of the Bologna process. Many universities of the participating countries of the Bologna process issue this document to their graduates, which is necessary for continuing education or employment in foreign countries. It is recognized by all participating countries of the Bologna process.

The Diploma Supplement explains the details of the educational program in a standardized form to ensure international transparency and objective academic and professional recognition of qualifications (diplomas, degrees, certificates, etc.) obtained by graduates of universities in different countries. The Diploma Supplement describes the nature, level, status, content, and results of completed studies, and contains additional information about the national higher education system to determine the place of this qualification in the relevant educational system. The academic load is given in ECTS credits, which makes it possible to correlate the national education system with the European one. The Diploma Supplement consists of 8 mandatory sections: This Diploma Supplement follows the model developed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES. The purpose of the Application is to provide comprehensive, independent data in order to ensure international "transparency" and objective academic and professional recognition of qualifications (diplomas, degrees, certificates, etc.). The appendix contains a description of the nature, level and status of the training completed and successfully completed by the person named in the original qualification document. Judgments, statements of equivalence, or offers of recognition are not allowed in the Application. The data should be presented for all eight sections. In the absence of such data, the reason must be indicated.
