Council on Research Ethics

The Research Ethics Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) at the non-profit joint-stock company "Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University" (hereinafter referred to as the Society) is a permanent body under the Department of Science of the Society, independent of sponsors, investors, researchers and free from any type of influence (for example, political, institutional, professional or commercial). This fact ensures that the interests of research participants are of paramount importance. The main goals of the Council are: protection of the rights and interests of subjects involved in research, protection of the rights and interests of researchers.

 

The Council carries out ethical control and examination of all research works carried out in the Society (dissertations, design studies, experiments and tests, scientific reports, articles, etc.) of PhD students, teaching staff, employees studying at the Society, at the stage of their planning, evaluation, selection, in the process of conducting and disseminating the results of scientific research, including the protection of the rights, safety and well-being of research objects (wildlife objects and habitats). Counters the unethical conduct of scientific research by employees and students of the Society.

 

The Council consists of 15 highly qualified scientists who have authority and recognition by the Kazakh and international scientific community in their respective fields of science, as well as unique experience in managing scientific projects.

 

Procedure of the Council: Council meetings are held upon receipt of applications.

 

Documents for consideration by the Council are accepted at least five working days before the meeting.

List of required documents to obtain the conclusion of the Research Ethics Council:

- application addressed to the Chairman of the Council (download here);

- dissertation materials / plan or report on project research / article / questionnaires / informed consent of recipients, etc. (in electronic format);

- reviews of scientific consultants / scientific supervisors;

- abstract in three (Kazakh, Russian, English) languages;

- extract from the protocol on the approval of the topic;

- conclusion of the department (structural unit) where the dissertation or research project / or other scientific work was completed;

- certificate from the Society for checking scientific research materials for plagiarism.

 

Documents for consideration by the Council are accepted at least five working days before the meeting.

 

Council meetings are held offline with the obligatory presence of the research performer.

- the conclusion of the department (structural unit) where the dissertation or research project / or other scientific work was completed.

Documents for consideration by the Council are accepted at least five working days before the meeting.

The meetings of the Council are held in an offline format with the obligatory presence of dissertation authors.
