The main objectives of the Department are the implementation of the tasks outlined in the Abai University Development Program for 2023-2029.

implementation of a policy to improve the quality of scientific research and education in compliance with mandatory requirements for the level of training of scientific personnel in the process of transformation into a pedagogical research university.

The main functions and tasks of the Department of Innovation Development and Scientific Personnel Training:

– promote a research culture among teaching staff and students (undergraduates, undergraduates, and doctoral students);

– to ensure the successful functioning of Dissertation councils – collegial bodies at Abai University;

– to ensure the functioning of the Ethical Council – monitoring the observance of ethical standards by the contractor of scientific research in the process of planning, evaluating, selecting, conducting and distributing the results of scientific research, including the protection of the rights, safety and well-being of research objects (wildlife and habitat);

– to organize and carry out scientific and research work that meets modern requirements for the training of qualified competitive personnel;

– to ensure the competitiveness of graduates and their demand in the labor market as highly professional specialists, as well as their involvement in scientific activities for the implementation of innovative projects;

– Ensuring the successful functioning of the scientific advisory council, a collegial body responsible for the development of scientific and (or) scientific and pedagogical activities;

– to activate the work of the Council of Young Researchers;

– to increase the scientific potential of teaching staff by:

– consistent implementation of the acceleration system for undergraduates and PhD students in scientific laboratories and centers for the purpose of scientific and personal growth, as well as to attract young personnel to science;

– formation and development of the Society's own scientific schools, active involvement of scientific and pedagogical staff and students in research work;

– organization of work on the implementation of fundamental and applied research on grant financing of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other organizations, from the Company's own funds, monitoring of research projects and implementation of regulatory control;

– improving the quality of the human resources potential of science and the mobility of scientific personnel through early involvement of the most talented students in projects, extensive involvement of postdoctoral fellows and research professors.

The Department for innovation development and scientific personnel training consists of the following divisions:

1) Office for Training and Certification of Scientific Personnel;

2) Project Office.
