Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology

The main directions of the department's research work:

• studying the latest scientific achievements and practical experience in the field of national, moral, spiritual, patriotic and other education in the global educational space;
• developing a model (system) for the formation of national self-awareness of future specialists in the context of the national idea "Mangilik El";
• developing scientific and practical recommendations for improving the quality of higher pedagogical education in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of developing the intellectual potential of the individual of a future specialist;
• making presentations at international and national seminars, conferences on topical issues of forming universal human values ​​in future specialists;
• publishing in domestic and foreign journals with a high IF, wide coverage in the media;
• organizing and holding methodological seminars, trainings, scientific and practical (republican, international) conferences.

A significant event of the department is the organization and holding of the international scientific and practical conference "Methodology and practice of formation of competitive higher pedagogical education" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of KazNPU named after Abai. All areas of the conference were related to current issues in the field of higher pedagogical education:

1. Formation of a new paradigm of competitive higher pedagogical education in light of the Messages of the President and strategic documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. The influence of spiritual modernization of public consciousness on the formation of a new paradigm of competitive higher pedagogical education.
3. Methodological approaches, ideas and principles of formation of competitive higher pedagogical education. Model of a new paradigm of competitive higher pedagogical education.
4. Formation and development of competitiveness of future teachers as an urgent problem of higher pedagogical education.
5. Foreign experience in the formation of competitive higher pedagogical education.
6. Acmeological aspect of development of a competitive teacher in the system of higher pedagogical education.
7. Scientific and methodological support of competitive higher education.

The scientific potential of the department is expressed through the participation of teachers in the development of concepts and programs in external organizations. Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Zhampeisova K.K., Cand. Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of KazNPU named after Abai Kolumbaev Sh.Zh. were involved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Agrarian University of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after I. Altynsarin in the development of conceptual documents "Conceptual Foundations of Education in the Context of "Rukhani Zhangyru", "Programs for the Development of Pedagogical Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The department systematically runs a scientific and methodological seminar for teachers of all Institutes of the University (headed by Cand. Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of KazNPU named after Abai Berikhanova A.E.).
