Faculty of Philology

Educational and student development work at the Faculty is carried out in accordance with the Educational Concept of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and the priorities of the state youth policy.

The primary goal is to develop spiritually mature, socially responsible, professionally competent, and competitive individuals who embrace national values.

Key areas include:

– civic, patriotic, and national education;

– spiritual, moral, cultural, and aesthetic education;

– adherence to the principles of academic integrity and the development of an anti-corruption culture;

– improvement of legal literacy and prevention of offences;

– career guidance and work-oriented education;

– development of the student self-government system;

– implementation of the state youth policy;

– promotion of a healthy lifestyle and organization of sports and wellness activities;

– support for volunteering, charitable initiatives, and social projects;

– development of environmental awareness and the values of sustainable development;

– improvement of religious literacy and prevention of religious extremism and terrorism;

– provision of social and psychological support to students;

– promotion of the University’s history and established traditions;

– creation of conditions for students’ comprehensive development based on Abai’s concept of the «Tolyk Adam».

Within these areas, the Faculty regularly organizes educational sessions, meetings, seminars, round-table discussions, cultural, educational, and sporting events, as well as social projects and volunteer initiatives.

The Faculty of Philology is home to the «Soztanym» and «Til – Tanym» centres, the Akhmet Baitursynuly Research and Methodological Centre, the S. Seifullin Research and Creative Centre, the Kultegin International Association, and the research clubs «I Discovered a Poet,» «Current Issues in Literary Studies,» and «Engaging Grammar.» These clubs place particular emphasis on developing students’ creative skills.
