AINUR SABITOVA AWARDED THE “PARASAT” ORDER

In Almaty, on the occasion of Science Workers’ Day celebrated on April 12, scientists and researchers who contributed to the country’s development were honored. Deputy Akim of the city Abzal Nukenov presented the “Parasat” Order to Ainur Sabitova, Director of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute at Abai University. This state award was given for her significant contribution to the development of higher education and legal science.

The event, held at the House of Science, was attended by representatives of the scientific community, university staff, and young scientists. As part of the event, a tree-planting ceremony took place at the “Scientists’ Alley.” An exhibition of scientific developments and innovative projects in medicine, biotechnology, genetics, and archaeology was also organized.

Opening the event, Deputy Akim of Almaty Abzal Nukenov emphasized that sustainable development of society depends on the power of science.

“Science has always been the driving force of progress, a source of new ideas and technologies, and the foundation of sustainable development. Today, scientific achievements determine the future of our cities and our country,” he said.

During the event, the contributions of members of the scientific community were recognized. A number of researchers and university professors received state and departmental awards. In particular, Doctor of Law, Professor Ainur Alimkhankyzy was awarded the “Parasat” Order for her significant contribution to the development of higher education and legal science.

It is worth noting that Ainur Sabitova is the Director of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute, an expert in international law, and Deputy Chair of the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The award was presented in honor of Science Workers’ Day on April 12.
