THE “ABAI BEAUTY AND SULTAN” CONTEST WAS HELD

At Abai University, the “Abai Beauty and Sultan” contest was held as part of the unified educational project “Adal Azamat.” This large-scale project, organized for the third consecutive year, aims to shape the modern image of an intelligent young man and a well-mannered young woman of a national university. The competition was judged by a panel consisting of university leadership, entrepreneurs, and pop stars. Talented participants also received financial support from sponsors.

The ceremonial event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Social Development, Maksat Zhakau, who noted: – The main goal of the contest is to revive national values among young people and promote the noble qualities reflected in Abai’s concept of the “Complete Person.” Therefore, I am confident that these values will be reflected in each participant’s performance.

The contest program consisted of five stages. In the first stage, “National Costume Defile,” participants presented original collections by well-known Kazakhstani fashion houses. This stage showcased a harmonious blend of national elements and modern fashion trends, highlighting the aesthetic taste of the youth. In the “Self-Presentation” stage, contestants competed creatively, presenting performances on themes such as “Kyz Kuu,” “Betashar,” retro wedding, “Abai Graduate,” and other conceptual ideas.

The “National Knowledge” stage tested the intellectual level and spiritual awareness of the participants. Questions covered Kazakh literature, history, sports, art, and the world of Abai. This stage evaluated not only stage presence but also respect for national culture and history.

The stage titled “Talented Generation” became the true culmination of the contest. Students presented socially significant and emotionally powerful performances with deep educational meaning, proving that art is not only entertainment but also a means of conveying important ideas. Young talents impressed the audience with creative concepts and delivered a spectacular show, earning enthusiastic applause from both the jury and spectators. In the final stage, participants demonstrated their skills in modern media by presenting creative video projects.
