Today, a meeting was held at Abai University with representatives of Sumgait State University of Azerbaijan, during which a memorandum of bilateral cooperation was signed. The meeting aims to implement joint educational programs and promote the exchange of experience within the framework of academic mobility for students and faculty members.

The meeting was organized as part of the II Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. On April 6, a gathering of university leaders and representatives of relevant authorities from both countries took place in Almaty, with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, and the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev. The forum addressed key issues of developing interstate cooperation in higher education and presented initiatives to expand partnership ties.

As part of the forum, representatives of Sumgait State University visited Abai KazNPU. The parties discussed opportunities for exchanging experience in academic mobility between faculty members and students of the two universities. They also considered initiatives for organizing summer schools, guest lectures, and developing joint educational programs for students.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University Bolat Tilep and Acting Rector of Sumgait State University of Azerbaijan Aminaga Sadigov signed the memorandum of cooperation. This document is aimed at expanding academic and scientific collaboration between the two institutions and developing joint educational programs.
