ISSUES OF USING AI IN PRIMARY EDUCATION WERE DISCUSSED

At Abai University, a master class was held by Professor of the Department of Primary Education, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Amina Amirova, titled “A Step into the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Integration of University Experience and Primary Education.” The event was attended not only by students but also by university and college instructors, as well as primary school teachers from across the country.

The master class focused on the effective use of artificial intelligence capabilities in the educational process and on developing the digital and media-pedagogical competencies of future teachers. Today, artificial intelligence is one of the key tools for modernizing the education system. It enables improved management of the learning process, enhancement of education quality, and consideration of students’ individual characteristics.

During the session, Professor Amina Slyamkhanovna elaborated on the scientific and theoretical foundations of artificial intelligence, as well as its application in research and school practice. University lecturers and primary school teachers were introduced to algorithms for using platforms such as ChatGPT, Canva AI, Grammarly, Notebook LM, Diffit for Teacher, Gemini, Grok, Delight tex.edu, AI Buddy, PixVerse, Dream Face, D-ID, SUNO AI, My Lens, Foxar AI, Lovable, Thinklink, Robi AI, Qwen AI. The advantages and disadvantages of each platform were thoroughly analyzed. In addition, the requirements for safety, pedagogical ethics, and professional responsibility in their use within the educational process were explained.

This master class identified key directions for the effective and responsible integration of artificial intelligence tools into primary education. The theoretical and practical materials presented contributed to enhancing teachers’ digital competence and improving their professional qualifications.
