INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON SPORT AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION

As part of the Decade of Science, Abai University has launched the international scientific and practical congress titled "Physical Culture and Sport in the 21st Century: Pedagogical Approaches, Experience, Digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence." This extensive three-day event is organized in collaboration with the ASES International Academy of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, the National Scientific and Practical Center for Physical Culture, and the Almaty Region Education Department.

The event is dedicated to discussing emerging trends in modern sports science and sharing experiences in integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence into the educational process. The congress was opened by Yertay Sultan, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at Abai University, who emphasized the strategic importance of the gathering for national pedagogy, bringing together world-class experts.

Distinguished professors and rectors from Sinop and Lokman Hekim Universities (Turkey), Toin University (Japan), and Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) arrived specifically for the forum. The event also features sports medicine specialists from Nazarbayev University, renowned athletes led by Olympic champion Olga Shishigina, university faculty, coaches from sports schools and federations, and young researchers.

During the plenary session, speakers addressed physical education as a strategic resource for education. Based on advanced experiences from Japan and Europe, they proposed concrete mechanisms for using AI platforms in the training process and predicting the physical development of students. Key topics included the application of STEAM technologies in PE lessons, innovations in sports medicine, and the modernization of national games as a tool for shaping the national code.

Two major sections commenced their work as part of the congress. The first section, "Pedagogy, Theory, and Practice of Physical Culture and Sport," focused on student safety culture and pressing issues in inclusive education. The second section, dedicated to "Digital Technologies and AI in Sport," scientifically analyzed the effectiveness of intelligent data systems and the potential for digitalizing the training process.

The recommendations developed during the international congress will be integrated into the country's educational system, paving the way for a modern transformation of the physical culture sector. Over the course of three days, scientists will share their research findings, while prominent athletes will showcase modern methodologies and practical cases to enhance the physical potential of students.
