CHEMISTRY SPRING" FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE

Today, as part of the "Science Decade – 2026" at Abai University, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography hosted the "Chemistry Spring" festival. Students of the faculty traded their traditional lab coats for elegant tuxedos and feathered dresses of the last century, presenting a show that blended chemical science with the aesthetic of "The Great Gatsby." The festival aimed to merge science and elegance, showcasing students' creative potential and their passion for chemistry.

The "Chemistry Spring" festival proved that chemistry is far more than just formulas; it is a captivating and vibrant science. Through their innovative approach, students revealed the mysterious world of chemistry from an entirely new perspective. The event transported the audience into the luxury of the past century, featuring a spectacular chemical show of laboratory experiments. By skillfully mixing various chemical elements, students created a display of fire and smoke, demonstrating the sheer wonder of science.

Furthermore, theatrical performances depicting the lives of famous scientists brought the history of great discoveries to life before the audience's eyes. A standout moment was the humorous yet scientifically grounded sketch about the chemical effects of alcohol on the human body—a creative way to raise awareness about healthy lifestyles. Jazz rhythms, graceful dancers, and melodic songs in the Gatsby style perfectly complemented the unique concept of the festival.

The "Chemistry Spring" festival, organized within the Science Decade, did not overlook the audience: interactive games and educational quizzes challenged the guests' ingenuity. The event concluded with an awards ceremony for the faculty and professors of the Chemistry Department, proving that science can be engaging, stylish, and modern.
