GRADUATING STUDENTS DEVELOPED EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS

On March 17, an anniversary career guidance event titled "Interview: Prove Yourself to the Employer," organized by Abai University, took place at School-Gymnasium No. 59 in Almaty. This is a unique project aimed at helping graduates adapt to the labor market and enhancing their practical skills. Future teachers gain an understanding of the stages of employment by responding to questions from real-world employers.

The project began in 2019 and has been implemented in collaboration with educational organizations across the southern capital. During the 2025–2026 academic year, the project successfully continued in the Nauryzbay, Medeu, and Turksib districts of Almaty. The event, which is held annually between February and April, was recently organized at the base of School-Gymnasium No. 59.

Asan Torganbekov, the director of the school-gymnasium and an alumnus of Abai University, warmly welcomed his successors who are about to graduate from his alma mater. He conducted professional interviews with the students following an authentic hiring format and shared valuable advice. The school leader performed a comprehensive analysis of the students' professional readiness, communication skills, and self-presentation culture. This experience allowed future educators to develop confidently and grow at a professional level within the labor market.

The "Interview: Prove Yourself to the Employer" project facilitates effective communication between university graduates and employers, increases their professionalism, and contributes to their formation as competitive specialists.
