Today, within the walls of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, the educational and methodological open house day «Methodfest» was held as part of the «One Day – One Faculty» project. Over the course of two weeks, each faculty of the university presented its potential, and today’s event was dedicated to showcasing, on a single platform, the practical initiatives and scientific achievements of students from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology.

The meeting was aimed at integrating the scientific projects and original methodologies of students and faculty members into a unified system. The faculty’s academic staff and students presented research projects and scholarly works to the public. In addition, issues of improving the quality of education, systematizing methodological initiatives, and the prerequisites for training future specialists were considered.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova focused on the content of the new academic culture at the university. Emphasizing the advantages of a model based on partnership between teacher and student, she noted that the parallel development of research and practice in the educational process has become a key requirement. This approach clearly defines the goal of training professionally competent and research-oriented specialists.

The faculty’s international achievements were also highlighted. A number of faculty members completed scientific internships at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign under the «500 Scholars» project of the «Bolashak» program and became recipients of the «Best University Teacher – 2025» award. In addition, the faculty’s scientific potential and international partnerships continue to grow steadily. The victory in the «Zhas Galym» project for 2025–2027 further demonstrates the systematic support provided to young researchers.

One of the key topics raised during the open house was continuity between school, college, and higher education institutions. During a joint workshop, issues within the educational ecosystem were discussed, and the effective aspects of a new model within the «school–college–university» chain were analyzed. Open classes provided an opportunity to demonstrate how innovative methods are implemented in practice.

Within the framework of the «One Day – One Faculty» project, «MethodFest» gave new impetus to strengthening the potential of university structures and enhancing professional connections. Best practices and effective methodologies were selected for the academic space, aimed at introducing new projects into the education system.
