IMPORTANT ISSUES DISCUSSED

Today, a regular meeting of the Academic Council was held at Abai University. The meeting was opened and chaired by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University, Bolat Tilep. In his speech, he emphasized that the strategic development of a higher education institution is directly linked to the quality of research, management efficiency, and international cooperation.

During the meeting, the results of the university’s research activities for 2025 were analyzed, and future development prospects were discussed. Over the past year, the number of scientific publications increased, and international partnerships were strengthened. The integration of research projects into the educational process and their commercialization are also being implemented step by step. This demonstrates the strengthening of the university’s potential as a research center.

The results of the internal incentive grants funded by the university were also reviewed. This initiative has increased the research activity of young scholars and enabled the implementation of new scientific projects. Internal grants contribute to fostering scientific competition and developing a research culture.

In addition, the marketing strategy for 2026 was presented, and mechanisms to enhance competitiveness in the education market were discussed. Improving engagement with prospective students through digital communication channels, strengthening the university’s brand, and expanding connections with the international audience were identified as key priorities.

Issues related to modernizing the scientific library’s services and expanding the use of global digital platforms and major scientific databases were also discussed. Efforts in this direction aim to increase access to up-to-date scientific information for faculty members and students.

The current state and development prospects of the “Education Management School” center were also reviewed. Plans were presented to improve scientific and methodological projects in the field of education management, expand professional development programs, and strengthen international cooperation.
