The open educational-methodical day "MethodFest" continued today at the Faculty of Physical Education and Initial Military Training of Abai University. The event was aimed at promoting modern methods in the educational process, facilitating experience exchange among teachers, and enhancing students' professional competencies.

As part of the program, the "Science Bridge" Young Scientists Club was inaugurated under the theme "Science and Society in the AI Era: Education, Military Training, Sports." During the meeting, the integration of science and education, as well as the role of digital technologies in the learning process, were discussed. Innovative teaching practices were presented, including the effectiveness of criterion-based assessment and formative feedback, competency-based learning, systematization of pedagogical objectives, maintaining athletes’ health, and preventing injuries. Young researchers shared their ideas, contributing to the creation of an environment for academic free exchange and guidance for future research.

During the open day, Zhanna Zhusupova, Director of the Academic Affairs Department of the university, visited classes and sports events organized at the faculty, giving a positive assessment of the innovative approaches in education, teachers’ methodological initiatives, and students’ active participation.

Following the "One Day – One Faculty" series of events, the festival continued at the Mukhtar Auezov Sports Complex Mukhtar Auezov, where a new boxing gym was officially opened at the faculty. According to the organizers, the sports facility, equipped with modern equipment, will be used not only for academic classes but also for extracurricular clubs and activities.

A practical session titled "Smart Navigation: Exploring the Local Area Using Maps and Drones" held at the training area left a strong impression. Senior Lecturer, Lieutenant Colonel Murat Sauytbekov, conducted the session, demonstrating students how to use modern technologies in field conditions and applying elements of military training in practice. Reconnaissance with a drone and route determination using a map illustrated the practical application of theoretical knowledge.

At the conclusion of the "MethodFest" open day, active students of the faculty and world champion athletes were awarded letters of appreciation on behalf of the university.
