As is known, the Chairman of the Board-Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Bolat Tilep, held open-format meetings with students of all faculties over the course of two weeks. Today, the final meeting was held in a “free microphone” format, summarizing the outcomes of this initiative. At the concluding meeting, as previously noted, a wide range of issues was discussed – from politics to the student cafeteria. During the open dialogue, proposals and opinions related to the development of the university’s academic policy and infrastructure were heard.

During the friendly meeting between the university administration and students, learners did not hesitate to ask their questions. The condition of academic buildings, modernization of the material and technical base, and alignment of the educational environment with modern requirements became the key topics of discussion.

– Abai University is the first higher education institution established in our country. In the near future, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of our alma mater. We have gathered to identify the current pressing issues of this educational institution with its rich century-long history and to listen to students’ opinions. Therefore, if you have any proposals or questions, please speak openly, – said Chairman of the Board-Rector of the University Bolat Anapiyauly.

During the meeting, students conveyed their pressing questions and innovative ideas to the university leadership, establishing an open dialogue. Issues related to visa processing for international students, migration requirements, and difficulties in social and everyday adaptation were also widely discussed. The Rector stated that the university is ready to provide full support and to assist in resolving these complex issues.

In addition, the implementation of academic mobility programs and student experience exchange was addressed. Opinions were voiced on expanding student exchange programs with foreign universities and increasing the number of partner institutions. Throughout the two weeks of meetings held in an open dialogue format, students were given the opportunity to freely express their views to the university leadership.

– We express our gratitude for holding open meetings with university students and for listening to issues that are important to us. We hope that projects aimed at developing the university will be implemented with consideration of students’ needs and expectations. This meeting became a special opportunity for us, – said Abishеva Assylzat, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Initial Military Training.
