MEMORANDUM SIGNED WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF “CLEAN KAZAKHSTAN”

Within the framework of the nationwide “Clean Kazakhstan” campaign initiated by the Head of State, extensive efforts are being carried out to foster an экологической culture among the population and to preserve environmental cleanliness. In this context, Abai University today signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ile-Alatau State National Natural Park.

 

The leadership of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University held a meeting with the Director General of the Ile-Alatau State National Natural Park, Elnur Mukhamedzhanuly Akhmetov. During the meeting, issues related to joint activities within the framework of the “Clean Kazakhstan” project were discussed, and common proposals and plans were reviewed. Within the nationwide project, particular attention was paid to strengthening bilateral partnership and promoting environmental cleanliness among young people.


During the discussion, the university leadership highlighted the ecological scientific research being conducted by students and the teaching staff within the framework of the “Clean Kazakhstan” project. Most of these studies are significant not only for our country but also for global ecology. The two parties agreed to jointly carry out scientific and practical research work in the future on topics of importance to humanity.


Issues related to transforming the national park into a practical training base for future specialists were also raised. The discussion covered enhancing students’ research capabilities through the analysis of data on natural sites, biodiversity, and ecosystems, as well as the development of joint educational materials and methodological publications. The use of the national park’s database in scientific circulation and in the educational process was also addressed.


In addition, projects aimed at increasing the tourism potential of the Ile-Alatau National Park were considered. In particular, the possibility for students to implement environmental, educational, and tourism-oriented initiatives using new technologies was discussed. Such digital projects generate interest among young people and contribute to broader promotion of the national park’s activities.


At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reached a common decision and signed a memorandum of cooperation. This agreement will serve as a solid foundation for further bilateral joint activities.
