As part of the «Law and Order» principle, an educational seminar entitled «The New Constitution – The Foundation of a New Kazakhstan» was held at Abai University. The event featured Kamshat Shintekova, Director of the «KESH» Human Rights Centre and a legal expert, who spoke about fostering legal awareness among young people and the importance of their responsibility towards society.

The New Constitution is an important topic aimed at modernising the country's political and legal system and strengthening democratic values. The Constitution serves as the fundamental legal foundation for the stability and development of the state. Respecting its principles, complying with the law, and enhancing legal awareness and civic responsibility are essential for every member of society. Efforts in this area help foster a sense of responsibility among the younger generation for the future of their country.

The event aimed to explain the significance of the New Constitution in society and improve students' legal awareness. Particular attention was also paid to fostering respect for the law among young people and strengthening their sense of civic responsibility.

During the meeting, the legal expert provided a comprehensive overview of citizens' fundamental rights and obligations, the rule of law, public order, and the legal responsibilities of young people. She also emphasised that legal awareness is an essential life skill, highlighting the importance of knowing the law and complying with its requirements in everyday life.

During the open discussion session, students had the opportunity to raise questions and receive clear and detailed answers from the legal expert on various issues of concern to them. The informal question-and-answer format clearly demonstrated young people's interest in legal matters and their active engagement in the discussion.

The seminar, organised as part of the national «Law and Order» programme, is expected to contribute to shaping a conscious and responsible generation of citizens who know how to protect their rights, respect the law, and uphold public order.
