DIRECT MEETINGS BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP AND STAFF CONTINUE

This afternoon, Bolat Tilep, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai University, met with the faculty members and staff of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology. The meeting provided an opportunity for an open exchange of views with the university leadership, allowing staff to share their ideas, suggestions and concerns. The discussion, held in an open and informal format, focused on the university’s development priorities and ways to improve its educational programmes.

At the beginning of the meeting, Galiya Abayeva, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, presented the faculty’s recent development results. Compared with the previous academic year, student enrolment has increased this year, with growth recorded across bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes. The Dean noted that these results reflect the team’s consistent efforts and growing demand for the faculty’s academic programmes.

Such meetings provide an opportunity to shape the university’s development agenda, advance strategic objectives and identify future priorities. Having listened to the staff’s views and suggestions, Bolat Anapiyauly presented a new initiative. In particular, the university plans to establish a department specialising in the training of professionals in Inclusive Education and Psychological and Pedagogical Support for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This initiative will contribute to preparing highly qualified specialists in the field of inclusive education.

The discussion also covered the Abai Digital platform, modern equipment and the development of the university’s material and technical resources. Staff members raised questions on issues of concern to them and received specific answers.

It should be noted that this was the fourth meeting held by Bolat Anapiyauly, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai University, as part of his ongoing meetings with the university’s faculties. The main purpose of these open discussions is to hear directly from faculty members and staff, publicly address current challenges and explore ways to resolve them, while engaging the university community more actively in the institution’s development.
