On October 27–28, the Central Asian International Education Forum is taking place in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The international meeting is dedicated to developing international cooperation in education, science, and innovation among Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The forum is attended by Aigul Iskakova, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Internationalization at Abai University, and Aydin Doshybekov, PhD, Head of the Health and Sports Department.

Within the framework of the international forum, participants are discussing pressing issues in higher education, expanding academic mobility, conducting joint scientific research, supporting innovative initiatives, and sharing best practices. Special attention is also being paid to elevating international university partnerships to a new level, improving the content of educational programs, and enhancing the effectiveness of research activities.

During the forum, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Abai University and the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports. This document aims to strengthen the mutual partnership between the two higher education institutions and systematically develop ties in education and scientific research. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was concluded with representatives of the Namangan State Technical University.

Today, international partnership in higher education is of paramount importance for implementing university development strategies, updating educational programs, and increasing research productivity. Strengthening ties among higher education institutions in Central Asian countries fosters the development of a regional educational space, joint solutions to shared scientific challenges, and deeper international academic integration.

It is worth noting that the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports is a leading educational institution training specialists in physical culture and sports. Meanwhile, Namangan State Technical University conducts educational and research activities in engineering, technical sciences, and innovative technologies. The partnership established with these universities paves the way for expanding international collaboration, developing experience sharing in education and research, and implementing joint projects.
