On October 23, 2026, a literary gathering with representatives of the Writers’ Union of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The event was moderated by literary scholar and PhD Әлібек Байбол, who emphasized the importance of strengthening literary and cultural ties between the two brotherly nations and introduced the visiting guests to the students.

At the opening of the event, Botagoz Tleubekova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, delivered welcoming remarks. She noted that the university is pursuing a number of important initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation with higher education institutions in neighboring Uzbekistan.

During the gathering, Uzbek literary figures spoke to students about new directions and emerging trends in contemporary Uzbek literature and read poems from their own works. The literary event highlighted the spiritual affinity between Kazakh and Uzbek literature and further strengthened the cultural and spiritual ties between the two brotherly nations.
