As a result of nationwide voting, the "Meirim" volunteer club of Abai University emerged as the winner of the first stage of the "Volunteer of the Year" international award. Youth who champion charity and kindness have once again reached high peaks and achieved great success.

This international award was established by the order of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. It aims to encourage volunteers, volunteer groups, and domestic and international volunteer organizations that have contributed to addressing socially and publicly significant issues.

The highly competitive contest was held across 15 nominations. The "Meirim" club, whose members include many Abai University students, participated in the "Best Volunteer Organization" nomination and took the lead among 36 organizations in the country during the first stage. Online voting took place between October 19 and 20, receiving votes and support from across the republic. As a result, our volunteers gathered the most votes among the participants and came out far ahead of the competition.

Since its establishment, the "Meirim" club has been bringing young people together and serving as an initiator of good deeds. The volunteer organization is led by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Gulbakhira Shirinbayeva. Club members regularly lend a helping hand to those in need of social assistance, organize charitable campaigns, and remain at the forefront of various environmental and social initiatives.

Abai University has once again proven that it is a true center of culture and education, nurturing talented, wise, and active youth. Striving toward a bright future, the young members plan to continue spearheading numerous charitable initiatives.
