THREE-DAY INTENSIVE TRAINING FOR EXECUTIVES HELD
Abai University hosted a three-day business training programme for executives. The event focused on managing artificial intelligence tools and their practical application in everyday work processes.
Over the three days, participants not only explored the current capabilities of artificial intelligence but also examined in practice how these tools can be adapted to address specific work-related tasks. The sessions were delivered by Sanzhar Aubakirov, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at Abai University. The programme combined theoretical explanations with practical assignments focused on solving real-world tasks. Participants learned about the principles behind neural networks and explored the capabilities of modern AI models. Through practical exercises, they examined situations in which a model may produce errors, how to verify the accuracy of information, and at which stages human oversight is required. The participants also discussed key aspects of working with artificial intelligence, including formulating questions and tasks correctly, providing the necessary context, verifying results, and understanding the reasons behind potential model errors.
The intensive training brought together employees of Abai University and Innoforce, entrepreneurs, executives from various organisations, as well as guests from Astana Hub. The diverse professional backgrounds of the participants made it possible to discuss a wide range of scenarios for applying artificial intelligence in different areas.
Upon completion of the training, participants were presented with certificates. Bringing representatives of the university and business together on one platform created an opportunity to discuss not only technological changes in education but also the practical needs of organisations. It was emphasised that digital transformation is not limited to the introduction of new technologies. It also requires organisations to rethink their approaches to work, develop employees’ skills in using new tools, and systematically evaluate the results achieved. Particular attention was paid to the question of where to start when introducing AI into the work of a department or organisation. The participants discussed the importance of first identifying routine, repetitive and time-consuming processes that can be structured, and then exploring potential ways to automate them.
Going forward, such practical programmes can serve as a platform for representatives of educational institutions, businesses and other sectors to develop their understanding of artificial intelligence and integrate AI tools into real-world work processes.
