On 23 September 2026, Specialized Gymnasium No. 12 named after Sh. Ualikhanov in Almaty hosted a meeting dedicated to the international exchange of teaching experience. Participants included Bauyrzhan Orazayevich Zhankushkov, Senior Lecturer at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, and Peter Matthias Pflug and Susanne Mayrhofer, representatives of the University College of Teacher Education Tyrol, Austria.

The meeting focused on teaching practices in primary education. The guests attended lessons in “Alippe” (Early Literacy), “Knowledge of the World” and “Crafts”, gaining insight into classroom teaching and learning. They also exchanged professional perspectives with the gymnasium’s teachers and students from the “B003 – Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education” programme who were completing their teaching placement at the school.

Aimgul Dauirbekovna Imangaliyeva, the gymnasium’s principal, and Sazhida Mukhametkazynovna Sabyrbekova, Deputy Principal for Primary Education, led an informative tour. The guests explored the modern library, computer rooms, other classrooms and the school canteen, learning about the facilities available to support pupils’ education and development.

The meeting brought together school teachers, future educators and Austrian colleagues for professional dialogue. Classroom observation and open discussion gave a practical dimension to international cooperation.
