ABAI CENTER OPENS AT A UNIVERSITY IN TÜRKİYE

 

The opening ceremony of the Abai Research Center for the Kazakh Language, Literature and Culture was held at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University in Türkiye. The new center will provide opportunities to implement scientific, educational and cultural initiatives between the two countries. This marks a new milestone in the international partnership between KazNPU and Ahi Evran University.

The Research Center will focus on the study and promotion of the Kazakh language, literature and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, as well as on the development of joint research and academic projects. As a result, scholars, faculty members and students from Kazakhstan and Türkiye will have an opportunity to establish a common dialogue and conduct research in the fields of language, literature and culture.

The opening ceremony was attended by the leadership and professors of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, as well as a delegation from Abai KazNPU. The delegation included Edilbay Ospanov, Dean of the Faculty of World Languages; Murat Myrzakhmetov, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Kazakh Literature and Teaching Methodology named after Academician S. Kirabayev; and Asem Nurzhankyzy, Chief Specialist of the Department of International Programs and Cooperation.

During the opening ceremony, Mustafa Kasım Karahodjaoğlu, Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, noted that the Abai Center is an important outcome of the developing academic and cultural cooperation between the two universities. As part of further cooperation, the Applied Research Center for Turkish Language, Literature and Culture named after Ahi Evran is also planned to be opened at Abai University.

Efforts to expand cooperation between the two universities do not end there. In the future, a dual-degree master's program in the 1+1 format is planned to be launched at the Department of Foreign Languages of Abai University. The program will provide students with extensive opportunities for international exchange of experience within the framework of academic mobility.
