AFTER THE MEMORANDUM: THE RECTOR FAMILIARIZED HIMSELF WITH THE RESULTS
Today, Bolat Tilep, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai KazNPU, made a special working trip to the "Issyk" State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve to review the activities being implemented under the bilateral memorandum. The university leadership was shown archaeological artifacts discovered by Abai University students during their industrial internship.
During the bilateral meeting,
Azimhan Serikuly, Director of the historical and cultural museum-reserve,
introduced Bolat Anapiyuly, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Abai KazNPU, to
the exposition halls of the "Issyk" Museum. Information was also
provided on the work carried out within the framework of the agreement signed
on March 16 of this year. It is worth noting that during this year's industrial
internship, Abai University students engaged in archaeological excavations and
added 33 arrowhead tips and horse bridle details to the museum's collection. In
this regard, Bolat Tilep expressed his gratitude to the museum-reserve team for
effectively organizing the industrial internship for 1st-year students of the
Faculty of History and Law.
During the visit, the activities
to be implemented based on the Memorandum of Cooperation were thoroughly
discussed. The agenda included such issues as the creation of a multi-profile
educational and practical base for the educational and scientific archaeological
practice of students from the Faculty of History and Law; providing Abai
University students with the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge gained
in various disciplines - such as history, archaeology, ethnology, anthropology,
cultural heritage, digital humanities, and natural sciences - through field
practice; and the regular organization of practical training in high-demand
areas such as historical and cultural education, museum studies, and museum
pedagogy.
Such relevance will not only
enhance the qualifications of learners but will undoubtedly serve as a basis
for forming an educational and laboratory building, an archaeological field
camp, a student expedition base, and a museum-pedagogical complex in the
future. On the one hand, this will pave the way for taking the scientific
potential of the museum-reserve to a new qualitative level. Furthermore, the
meeting discussed opening an archaeological museum at Abai University and
supplying it with historical artifacts. The main goal of this is to enrich the
spiritual world of the youth. The possibility of mobile rotations of museum
materials was also considered.
At the end of the meeting, the
University and the "Issyk" State Historical and Cultural
Museum-Reserve agreed to jointly organize bilateral research work. As a result,
an agreement was reached to jointly hold a scientific and practical conference
in October dedicated to the culture and history of the Saka.
