Abai University continues to strengthen its position in international rankings year after year. The university participates in global assessment systems such as the QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education and the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, in which leading universities from around the world actively participate, showcasing its achievements in educational quality, research potential and sustainable development.

   First and foremost, according to the results of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, published this summer, the university ranked 41st in the world in the Education & Training subject area, placing it among the top 50 universities in the world in its field of specialization. 

   In the QS World University Rankings 2027, the university ranked 634th globally and 4th among universities in Kazakhstan. These results demonstrate the university’s consistent development and growing global competitiveness.

   It is particularly important to note that Abai University became the only university in Kazakhstan to enter the global top 50 in the Education & Training subject area. The university also achieved one of the strongest results among higher education institutions in Asia and recorded the highest result in Central Asia.

   In the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, the university ranked 356th among more than 1,700 universities worldwide and maintained 4th place among universities in Kazakhstan.

   The pedagogical university also actively develops partnerships with foreign higher education institutions and implements bilateral joint projects. In particular, the university has signed more than 180 memoranda of cooperation with higher education institutions in 27 countries worldwide. As part of these partnerships, dual-degree programmes are offered in collaboration with higher education institutions in France, Poland, Russia and Belarus.

   In addition, the university’s educational programmes undergo accreditation every year by independent agencies such as IAAR, IQAA, KAZSEE, АТҚО, САААЕ and ARQA. Quality assessment centres evaluate the university’s activities in academic education, as well as its efforts to develop students’ laboratory and practical skills.

   In conclusion, entering international rankings and achieving strong results provide clear evidence that the university’s educational and research activities meet international standards.
