Today, Bolat Tlep, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, ceremonially presented Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) diplomas to 29 doctoral graduates who successfully defended their dissertations at the University.

The ceremony was attended by Yer­tay Sultan, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Chairs of Dissertation Councils, staff members of the Department for Innovation Development and Academic Staff Training, young scholars, and faculty members.

During the ceremony, Bolat Anapiyevich congratulated the young scholars on their significant achievement and highly commended their research efforts. Emphasizing that “the successful defense of a doctoral dissertation is the result of years of dedicated work, scholarly inquiry, and great responsibility,” the Rector expressed confidence that the newly awarded scholars would make a meaningful contribution to the development and prosperity of the country.

This year, young scholars who earned their PhD degrees conducted research in pedagogy, philology, natural sciences, mathematics, cultural studies, art education, and other academic fields. In particular, the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree was awarded to Albina Nurakhmyatovna Beykitova in the specialty “6D011600 – Geography,” Asem Islambekkyzy Abiltaeva in the educational programme “8D01513 – Biology,” and Beksultan Dauletovich Orazov in the educational programme “8D01502 – Physics.”

In the field of Kazakh language and literature, PhD degrees were awarded to Yerkinbek Serikbayevich Turgunov, Zhanday Baiganynovna Kdyralieva, Tokzhan Erbosynkyzy Igenbay, Gulnar Nurgaliyevna Klynchniyazova, Nazerke Yelubekkyzy Mubarak, Nazym Aitbaykyzy Mazhieva, Akmaral Kaliyarbekovna Dautkulova, and Kazyna Asanovna Bekbenbetova.

In the field of preschool and primary education, PhD degrees were awarded to Raziya Yeleupanovna Karimova, Gulnaz Khamidollayevna Sarsenbayeva, Dina Garifolliyevna Khabieva, Gauhar Kutybayevna Sakhipova, Maral Abayevna Baymakhanbetova, Balzhan Kassymovna Iksatova, and Sholpan Bolatovna Kalbergenova.

In addition, a number of doctoral graduates earned PhD degrees in special education, Russian language and literature, mathematics, geography, biology, cultural studies, art education, graphics, and design. They include Roman Dmitrievich Ponomarev, Almagul Abdollaevna Zadaeva, Arai Dovletbayevna Kuntuarova, Zaruet Almazovna Zakarieva, Gulfat Zhanbolatovna Kalelova, Kuralai Bauyrzhanovna Alipina, Aidana Ganikyzy Aubakir, Gauhar Abdikarimovna Abdurazakova, Onlasyn Seitzhapparovich Buribekov, Masume Aliakbar Shiri, Kulshash Kabylbek, and other young scholars.

Today, Abai University has 18 Dissertation Councils operating across 27 educational programmes. This year alone, 65 doctoral dissertations have been successfully defended before these councils. Of these, 17 dissertations were defended by doctoral students from other higher education institutions.
