AUGUST CONFERENCE HELD AT ABAI UNIVERSITY
Today, Abai University hosted its traditional August Conference on the
topic: “The Norms and Values of the New Constitution: Human Capital Development
as the Strategic Foundation of the Education System.” The event was attended by
the university leadership, faculty members, and research scholars.
The traditional August Conference provided a broad platform for discussing
key areas of development of the modern education system, the status of
teachers, the effective use of modern technologies in the educational process,
and issues related to ensuring the safety of students. The choice of the topic
“The Norms and Values of the New Constitution: Human Capital Development as the
Strategic Foundation of the Education System” was particularly relevant to the
current educational agenda. In his address at the national August Conference
held the previous day in Astana, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also addressed these issues in detail.
To effectively use artificial intelligence in developing human capital,
teaching professionals must be prepared to meet new requirements. In this
regard, the participants discussed the areas of work that the country’s leading
pedagogical university intends to pursue. The meeting focused on these key questions
and explored various aspects of preparing future teachers for the changing
demands of the education system.
Today, artificial intelligence has become an effective tool that
facilitates the work of students and teachers. At the same time, its use raises
a number of important issues, including verifying the accuracy of information,
maintaining academic integrity, and using technology responsibly. Vice-Rector
for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova spoke about the current changes and new
requirements in the education system.
The August Conference provided teachers with an opportunity to exchange
experience, learn about new trends in education, and discuss the key objectives
for the upcoming academic year. During the event, presentations were delivered
on improving the quality of education, enhancing teaching methodologies, and
introducing modern educational approaches into the learning process. Amid the
rapid development of information technologies, participants discussed ways for
teachers to move from traditional teaching models to new and more innovative
formats. Particular attention was also paid to the development of research
activities among master’s and doctoral students.
At the end of the meeting, participants put forward proposals aimed at
improving the educational process, expanding the use of new teaching methods,
and developing research areas.
