THE RESULTS OF THE KURYLTAY ELECTION WERE DISCUSSED
Today, Abai University hosted a roundtable dedicated to discussing the results of the election of Kuryltay deputies. The meeting provided an expert assessment of the political campaign and addressed topical issues related to the formation of the new Kuryltay and its future activities. The roundtable was moderated by Maksat Zhakau, Vice-Rector for Social Development at the university.
In his speech, Maksat Zhakau noted that the election was conducted in an
organized and fair manner. He also emphasized that modern digital technologies
contributed to greater transparency and the development of a culture of voting.
In his view, the effective use of such technologies will help increase
citizens’ interest in political processes and improve the culture of making
informed choices.
During the roundtable, Bolatbek Nurbatyrov, Head of the Abai University
Alumni Association, presented the results from Polling Station No. 363 in
Almaty. He noted that the necessary organizational and logistical preparations
for the campaign had been carried out in advance and that the voting process
proceeded in accordance with the established procedures.
According to the voting results among registered citizens at Polling
Station No. 363, the Adilet Party received the majority of votes, with a result
of 75.69 percent. Bolatbek Nurbatyrov also noted that the participation of
public and international observers at the polling station had been ensured in
accordance with the law. According to him, the voting process was monitored by
9 public and party observers, as well as 20 international and foreign
observers. The observers gave positive assessments of compliance with
regulations, the organization of the process, and adherence to transparency
requirements.
The participants of the roundtable noted the democratic openness of the
process and its political role in increasing civic engagement. They emphasized
that the Kuryltay election was an important historical event in the
socio-political development of Kazakhstan.
It should also be noted that Abai University actively participated in the
campaign. As a reminder, Aйнұр Сәбитова, Director of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan
Institute, and Дидарбек Ділдәбек, Chairman of the Almaty City Branch of
the Jastar Rukhy Youth Wing and a doctoral student at Abai
University, were registered as candidates for Kuryltay deputy positions on the
Adilet Party list.
