For more than four thousand students, this year has become a significant milestone: having completed their studies, they are entering a new stage of life — their professional careers. Graduation ceremonies for bachelor’s and master’s graduates were held across the university’s faculties from June 26 to July 4. The series of ceremonial events concluded with the awarding of diplomas to nearly 500 graduates of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology. Among them, 341 were bachelor’s degree holders and 145 were master’s degree graduates who successfully completed their academic programs. In addition, 159 graduates received diplomas with honors.

The ceremony began with an online congratulatory message from Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In his address, the Minister emphasized that a higher education diploma is not only proof of completed studies, but also the beginning of a new stage associated with continuous professional development, responsibility, and the ongoing improvement of knowledge and skills. He also called on young specialists to apply their knowledge and professional potential for the benefit of the country, contributing to the development of national science and the education system.

Chairman of the Board — Rector Bolat Tlep congratulated the graduates and wished them success in their professional journeys. He emphasized that the quality education and upbringing received at the university would serve as a solid foundation in any field of activity.

“The University of Abai has not only trained graduates in their chosen specialties but has also instilled important values such as civic responsibility, moral integrity, honesty, and accountability. Addressing the young specialists, Bulat Tlep noted that representatives of the teaching, coaching, and military professions bear a special responsibility for educating the younger generation and shaping the future of the country. He expressed confidence that wherever they work, the graduates will contribute to the development of the state and proudly uphold the honor of the ‘Kara shanyrak’.”

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova presented diplomas to the top graduates of the faculty and wished them success in their professional careers. She noted that this achievement is the result of students’ diligent work, their commitment to knowledge and responsibility, as well as the support of parents and teachers.

In addition, the “Words of Edification” by the great thinker Abai Kunanbayuly have been presented to graduates of the university for the third consecutive year. This tradition was initiated by the Chairman of the Board — Rector Bolat Tlep. It is noted that the book will serve as a spiritual and moral guide for graduates.

It is worth noting that the history of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology dates back to the founding of the educational institution. In 1928, the Department of Pedagogy was established, making a significant contribution to the development of national education. Since then, the faculty has trained thousands of qualified specialists and formed a pedagogical community dedicated to educating new generations of students. Currently, the faculty offers academic programs in “Pedagogy and Psychology,” “Preschool Education and Upbringing,” “Primary Education Methodology,” “Social Pedagogy,” “Special Pedagogy,” and “Psychology.”
