STUDENT HACKATHON HELD AT ABAI UNIVERSITY

Abai University hosted the student hackathon “EduFest Hackathon: The Future of Education Through the Eyes of Youth” to celebrate World Education Day. During the event, talented students presented creative solutions to pressing global challenges and competed with innovative ideas. Teams composed of students from different faculties showcased modern approaches aimed at advancing education. The hackathon became a platform for promoting the bright ideas and initiatives of young people.

📌 A hackathon is an innovation-based competition where young people transform their ideas into practical solutions and develop new approaches to contemporary challenges. It fosters creativity, teamwork, and the development of technological and social innovations. At Abai University, students from the fields of education, law, arts, management, and international relations joined together in interdisciplinary teams to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.

🚀 The teams "EduTransformers," "Kültegin," "Oilab," "Tauarykh," and "Kültöbe" addressed challenges related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They presented projects focusing on social, economic, and environmental issues. The hackathon consisted of four stages: team presentation, a Kahoot quiz, presentation of an innovative solution, and a creative poster competition. Participants demonstrated how digital technologies, innovative platforms, and modern teaching methods can contribute to the development of education. They also discussed how artificial intelligence is leading pedagogy into a new era and how scientific and technological innovations are transforming human life.

🎊 At the end of the competition, the winning teams were announced. The teams that demonstrated outstanding creativity and strong knowledge of digital technologies and artificial intelligence were recognized with awards. Third place was awarded to "Tauarykh," second place to "Kültegin," while "Kültöbe" won first place, becoming the overall champion of the hackathon.
