ABAI UNIVERSITY SCHOLARS ENTER THE TOP 50 FACULTY RANKING

The Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) has announced the results of the 2026 General Ranking of academic staff of higher education institutions. According to the эксперт assessment, three representatives of Abai University have been included in the TOP 50 best specialists in Kazakhstan. In addition, the university ranked 18th overall in terms of staff quality.


As a result of the ranking evaluation, outstanding performance was demonstrated by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vladimir Kosov, Professor-Researcher Zheksenbek Toktarbay, and Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Gulnara Rakhimova. Their fundamental research and teaching experience have earned well-deserved recognition within the professional community, as well as among national and international experts.


Professor Vladimir Kosov’s name is closely associated with the advancement of science and the mentorship of young researchers. The innovative studies conducted under his leadership contribute to expanding the global scope of physical and mathematical sciences. His publications and projects have, for several years, been in high demand in reputable international databases and enjoy consistent support from the academic community. Notably, he has maintained leading positions in this ranking since 2022.


Another pride of the university is Zheksenbek Toktarbay, whose scientific work is distinguished by clear and measurable results. His research focuses on improving the educational process in line with modern requirements. Alongside delivering high-quality lectures, he plays a significant role in developing students’ theoretical thinking and analytical skills.


A substantial contribution has also been made by Gulnara Rakhimova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences, who is among the top-ranked scholars. Having worked at the university since 2007, she is the author of more than 50 scientific articles and two monographs. Her research interests include philosophical anthropology and the philosophy of culture.


Today, the relevance of research activities, active international engagement, and the strengthening of external partnerships have become key drivers of institutional quality enhancement. Abai University aims to cultivate a new generation of researchers by integrating education with analytical inquiry.
