WHAT IS THE SPECIAL PEDAGOGICAL EXAMINATION?
In our country, applicants choosing pedagogical majors must pass another mandatory stage in addition to the UNT (Unified National Testing). This is the special pedagogical examination. Successfully passing this test is a prerequisite for participating in the state grant competition or enrolling on a tuition fee basis for pedagogical programs. Many school graduates are unaware of how this exam is conducted and what the question structure looks like. Therefore, today’s topic is dedicated to the pedagogical examination.
Crucial note for grant applicants: To participate in the state educational grant competition, applicants must take the exam by July 13, which is prior to the deadline for grant applications. Overall, according to the 2026 regulations, the application intake and examination period run from June 20 to August 20.
The exam can be taken at the admissions office of any university. It is held both in the traditional (offline) format and online through the applicant's personal account on the university platform. The key requirement is to obtain a document confirming the successful completion of the exam, authenticated with the university seal or a special QR code.
This test is designed to determine the personal and psychological traits of the applicant rather than evaluating theoretical knowledge of the school curriculum. The core focus of the testing is solving situational pedagogical case studies. You will be presented with specific scenarios derived from school life or psychological practice, and your task is to choose the most appropriate solution to resolve the situation. This assessment evaluates your aptitude for working with children, communication skills, empathy levels, and stress tolerance. No points or scores are given in the evaluation system. Based on the results of the test, you will receive either a "Passed" or "Failed" status.
