ABAI UNIVERSITY AMONG THE TOP IN THE QS INTERNATIONAL RANKING

The results of the “QS World University Rankings – 2027” have been announced today, with Abai University ranked 634th, placing it among the top 700 universities worldwide. Among universities in Kazakhstan, it demonstrated significant positive dynamics and secured 4th place nationally. Additionally, the university substantially improved its “Employer Reputation” indicator, entering the global TOP 400.

This year, 8,808 universities were evaluated globally, but only 1,504 institutions from 106 countries were included in the final ranking. Although 18 universities from Kazakhstan were submitted, only six maintained their positions due to changes in international criteria and requirements. In a highly competitive environment, the strong performance of Abai University reflects the effectiveness of its strategic development, the high quality of its academic environment, and its steadily growing international recognition.

Sergey Khristolyubov, Regional Director of QS, emphasized the importance of “Academic Reputation” and “Employer Reputation” indicators while analyzing this year’s results. In his statement, he noted:

– The dynamics of the “Academic Reputation” and “Employer Reputation” indicators in the new ranking require special attention. Only three universities in Kazakhstan improved their “Employer Reputation” compared to last year. Among them is Abai University, which ranked 395th and entered the top 400 universities globally. Changing the current trends in these indicators will be a key factor in improving universities’ positions in the coming years, – he stated.

Abai University continues to confidently follow a path of sustainable development, rapidly adapting to global trends and changes in the higher education system. As the country’s leading pedagogical university, it will further strengthen its status through modern educational technologies and its growing international reputation.

It is worth noting that Abai University currently ranks 41st among higher education institutions worldwide in the “Education and Training” subject according to the QS ranking, making it a leading university in Central Asia and Kazakhstan.
