45th Graduation Anniversary Reunion Held at Abai University
Today, Abai University hosted a
memorable reunion of alumni who graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics,
Physics, and Informatics 45 years ago. Returning to their alma mater with great
nostalgia, the graduates of the Class of 1981 reminisced about their student
years and cherished memories. They also joined the University’s Alumni
Association and expressed their support for the Abai Endowment Fund.
For alumni who traveled from
different regions of the country, the reunion was a truly special and
meaningful occasion. Although forty-five years have passed since their
graduation, the brightest moments of student life remain vivid in their hearts.
Among the participants were school principals, distinguished veterans of the
education sector, and professionals who have achieved success in science,
industry, and public service. Returning to their beloved university, they
revived treasured memories of their youth and student years.
The event was opened by Sheripidin
Khamrayev, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics, who
congratulated the alumni on this milestone gathering.
“Dear Alumni, It is a great pleasure
to welcome you back to Abai University. You represent a generation that has
left a distinctive mark on the history of our institution. Today, each of you
is making a valuable contribution to society through your dedicated work in various
regions of the country. Your achievements are also the achievements of our
University. Meaningful gatherings such as this strengthen the continuity
between generations and reaffirm the enduring value of education and personal
development,” said the Dean.
During the reunion, alumni shared
memories of their student years, recalled their professors, and visited the
classrooms where they once studied. Conversations were filled with stories
about memorable moments on campus, academic pursuits, and friendships that
shaped their lives and careers.
At the gathering, Bolatbek
Nurbatyrov, Head of the Alumni Association, officially welcomed the
participants into the Association and presented them with membership
certificates. He also delivered a comprehensive presentation on the activities,
objectives, and future plans of the Abai Endowment Fund. The audience was
introduced to the Fund’s initiatives aimed at strengthening the University’s
material and technical resources, supporting talented students, and advancing
scientific research projects. The alumni expressed their willingness to support
and contribute to the Endowment Fund’s mission.
The reunion continued in a warm and
inspiring atmosphere, filled with heartfelt memories and sincere wishes.
Reunited after forty-five years, the alumni expressed their gratitude to the
University that had played such an important role in their lives and wished
continued success and prosperity to its faculty and staff.
