The official visit of the Abai University delegation to the Republic of Poland continued today. Taking part in the celebrations marking the 57th anniversary of Pomeranian University, Bolat Tilep, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, delivered a speech at the ceremonial gathering. Congratulating the university community – an important and reliable partner on the international stage – on its anniversary, he highlighted key issues related to the development of academic cooperation.

The foundation of cooperation with Pomeranian University was laid in 2012. In 2015, an official partnership agreement was signed, and academic mobility programs began to be implemented. To date, more than 200 students from Abai University have studied and completed internships at Pomeranian University. In addition, dual-degree educational programs have been established between the two institutions, while international scientific and cultural projects are organized on a regular basis.

Speaking at the anniversary event, Bolat Tilep, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Abai University, congratulated the university staff on the occasion and emphasized that Pomeranian University is one of Poland’s most respected centers of education and science.

“Throughout its 57-year history, Pomeranian University has successfully combined academic traditions with modern educational practices, becoming a higher education institution recognized internationally. For Abai University, Pomeranian University is a trusted partner and a close friend. The relationship between our institutions is built on mutual trust and shared values,” the Rector stated.

He also noted that, within the framework of inter-university cooperation, more than 30 faculty members and administrative staff from Abai University have visited Pomeranian University and participated in visiting professor programs, international conferences, and various academic events.

In addition, the leadership of Abai University met with Beata Chrzanowska, Vice President of the city of Słupsk. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of international cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland in the fields of education and science. Rector Bolat Anapiyauly expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and respect shown to the delegation, emphasizing the crucial role of higher education in strengthening ties between the two countries.
