In the city of Słupsk, Republic of Poland, at the Pomeranian Academy (University of Pomerania), the official delegation of Abai University continues its work. As part of today’s visit, the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Bolat Tlep, became acquainted with the activities of the Abai Center, which was established at the Pomeranian Academy on the initiative of the university.

Having familiarized himself with the work of the Abai Center for Kazakh culture and science in Europe, Bolat Anapiyauly highly praised the work of the staff and students. During the meeting, the rector emphasized the special role of the Abai Center in strengthening spiritual and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Europe. According to him, Abai’s legacy is not only a national value but also a spiritual bridge uniting peoples of the world around common humanistic ideals.

“The Pomeranian Academy is one of the leading higher education institutions in Europe with a long history and strong academic reputation. The partnership that has connected us for many years is now producing tangible results. Through academic mobility programs, more than 200 students have had the opportunity to study and exchange experience between the two countries. In addition, internships for faculty members and researchers have become a regular practice. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Pomeranian University for such comprehensive cooperation and support,” said Bolat Tlep.

The Abai Center, led by Amankul Kazmagambetova, works to promote the Kazakh language, literature, and cultural heritage abroad. It is recognized as an important scientific and educational platform that introduces young people to the philosophical ideas of the great thinker Abai and promotes cultural dialogue.

During the meeting held at the center, which has made a significant contribution to promoting Kazakh spirituality internationally, Bolat Anapiyauly presented books in Kazakh and English and wished success to the spiritual community, which also serves as a place of support for compatriots abroad.

Established on May 23, 2019, at the Institute of Neophilology of the Pomeranian Academy, the Abai Center has already become an important scientific and educational platform aimed at developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland. Every year, the international scientific seminar “Abai Readings” is held. Its activities are supported by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Poland and serve as an effective example of scientific and cultural diplomacy.

It should be noted that within the framework of the agreement between Abai University and the Pomeranian Academy, joint research projects, conferences, and editorial work on scientific publications are being systematically developed. In recent years, more than 30 teachers and staff members have completed internships, gaining opportunities for experience exchange in the international academic environment.
