ABAI UNIVERSITY AND MUKAGALI MUSEUM SIGN COOPERATION MEMORANDUM
Today, Abai University and the Mukagali Makatayev
Literary-Memorial Museum, which is part of the Almaty Region Museum
Association, signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation and agreed to implement
large-scale joint projects. Within the framework of the agreement aimed at
promoting our national culture and literature, both sides intend to elevate
spiritual and educational activities to a new level. In the near future,
special traveling exhibitions and mobile museum activities will be organized
for the students of the alma mater.
The museum staff, who specially arrived from the
village of Karasaz – the poet’s homeland and land of poetry – met with the
university leadership and discussed future plans. Museum representatives stated
their readiness to establish close ties with the major educational institution
that trains future teachers and language and literature specialists, as well as
to jointly hold scientific and creative evenings.
Founded in 1991, the Mukagali Makatayev
Literary-Memorial Museum is a sacred place that carefully preserves and
promotes the poet’s personal belongings, manuscripts, and creative heritage. It
can be said that this meeting carries special symbolic significance. This year
marks the 95th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding son of our people,
the Khan Tengri of Kazakh poetry – Mukagali Makatayev. Therefore, this
partnership will become a vivid example of honoring the poet’s spirit and
reviving his immortal legacy at the height of modern times.
The cooperation between the black shanyrak and Karasaz
carries great educational and moral value for students. For example, there is
an opportunity to organize a traveling museum exhibition within the university
for students and the residents of Almaty. Such an initiative will allow
learners to become closely acquainted with the world in which the phenomenal
poet lived, to see rare unique exhibits with their own eyes, and to gain
spiritual enrichment without leaving Almaty.
The joint agreement between Abai University and the
Mukagali Museum is an important step aimed not only at strengthening bilateral
relations, but also at instilling national values in the younger generation and
promoting the golden pillar of our literature. This noble initiative, which
broadens the cultural horizons of future teachers, will gain new momentum in
accordance with the demands of the times and will continue systematically in
the future.
