The final academic campaign of the current academic year is now in full swing at Abai University. Students are putting to the test the knowledge and experience they have accumulated throughout the year, taking another important step toward becoming qualified professionals with higher education degrees. Having successfully passed their midterm assessments and examinations, students are pleased with their achievements. These days are especially meaningful for graduating students who have summed up four years of hard work by successfully defending their thesis projects at a high level.

This year, scientific research and creative activity were especially evident across all faculties of the university. In particular, students of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology distinguished themselves through innovative research projects. Their work clearly demonstrates a deep understanding of current social issues and strong professional preparation. For example, fourth-year Psychology student Alfiya Kabekeshova received an “excellent” grade for defending her thesis titled “Psychological Features of Student Well-Being.” According to the student, the results of four years of hard work seemed to fit into just a few minutes of thesis defense.

– The knowledge and experience we gained over four years were truly tested during these days. I achieved my goal and successfully defended my thesis. This is not only my personal victory, but also a shared achievement of our teachers and parents who constantly supported us, – she said.

While many students who successfully completed their exams and assessments are already planning their summer vacations, students majoring in International Relations have begun preparations for their upcoming professional internship. This practical stage will help them adapt to the professional environment and gain a deeper understanding of their future careers.

– This academic year was truly unforgettable and full of meaningful experiences. We participated in various projects and gained experience in new environments. Having successfully overcome all challenges, we are now preparing to travel to the capital together with our classmates for professional training. I believe this trip will be a great opportunity and an important step toward our future profession, – said third-year International Relations student Ulzhan Anarbayeva.

Following thesis defenses and examinations, university hallways are filled with joyful laughter and warm words of congratulations. These moments become some of the brightest and most unforgettable parts of student life. Many graduates also shared plans to continue their studies in master’s programs and pursue scientific research in the future.
