MULTILINGUAL EDUCATION – A GUARANTEE OF A PROSPEROUS FUTURE

Today, an Open Day titled “Multilingual Education – a Guarantee of a Prosperous Future” was held for applicants at the Faculty of World Languages of Abai University. School students and teachers attended the event to learn about the faculty’s educational programs, academic mobility opportunities, and the foreign language teaching system.

The event was opened by Khairulla Nyshanuly, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board-Rector of Abai KazNPU, who highlighted the university’s century-long history and its status as a leading pedagogical institution. He emphasized the university’s achievements in the global higher education system and the wide range of opportunities available to students. Nurmakhan Auesbekuly, Head of the Career Guidance Department, presented subject combinations and threshold scores for the Unified National Testing. He also provided information on the admission process, application deadlines, the content of academic programs, and offered career guidance.

Heads of departments of the Faculty of World Languages presented the educational programs of each department, outlining their advantages and opportunities. It was noted that programs in English, Arabic, French, Chinese, and Persian meet modern demands and societal needs. Applicants were informed that graduates specializing in these languages can work in public administration, industry, education, international relations, as well as in domestic and international companies.

The event also highlighted opportunities for Abai University students to study at foreign universities within the framework of academic mobility. Examples of students enrolled in dual-degree programs abroad were presented, demonstrating the university’s international potential. It was noted that the scientific capacity of the faculty and the broad opportunities for continuing education at the master’s and doctoral levels are well established.

During the event, applicants asked questions and became acquainted with the life of the faculty. Active students also answered questions about student life and cultural and creative organizations. At the end of the meeting, school students were given guidance on choosing a profession, and school teachers who maintain close cooperation with the university were awarded letters of appreciation.
