MEETING WITH WRITER ESBOLAT AIDABOSSYN
Today,
a literary and educational meeting with the well-known writer, alumnus of the
alma mater, and journalist Esbolat Aidabossyn was held at Abai University. The
event was attended by renowned literary critic and scholar Beken Ybyraim, as
well as Eldos Toktarbay, who discussed the pressing issues of contemporary
Kazakh prose.
During
the event, the writer’s creative identity and works were thoroughly analyzed
from a scholarly perspective. Doctor of Philology, Professor Beken Ybyraim,
examining the “golden bridge” between 20th and 21st century literature, gave a
literary assessment of Esbolat Aidabossyn’s works. By linking the author’s
genre explorations with classical world literature, the scholar demonstrated
the vitality of his works within national literature. He highlighted the
writer’s mastery in revealing pressing social issues through characters and his
distinctiveness in preserving the national flavor of the language.
Literary
critic Eldos Toktarbay focused on the stylistic features of the writer,
describing his works as “a true mirror of society.” The critic elaborated on
how the author, while preserving the traditions of classical prose, explores
social inequality and human psychology. The discussion covered the themes, main
ideas, characterization, and artistic techniques of the works.
The
guest of the evening, Esbolat Aidabossyn, engaged in an open-format discussion
with students, introducing them to the “kitchen” of the writing craft. He spoke
about the challenges and joys of creating characters and elevating ideas into
literary works.
– For me, every
character is a living image taken from life itself. I let them mature deep in
my consciousness and only put them on paper when the time comes. Writing is the
result of constant search and inner struggle, –
said the writer.
At
the end of the meeting, the writer expressed great confidence in the youth and
outlined their responsibilities for the future. He emphasized that the
generation growing up in the era of independence bears significant
responsibility for knowledge and national values. Calling the youth “the
generation carrying the amanat,” he reminded them that the future of the
country and the fate of the language lie in the hands of an educated
generation.
This
open dialogue with students contributed to the promotion of national literature
and opened new horizons for the creative aspirations of the younger generation.
Undoubtedly, this meeting became a valuable school of guidance for future
specialists in the field of philology.
