A Master Class Was Held at Abai University Within the Framework of the Scientific Decade

On April 9, 2026, a practice-oriented master class was organized by the Department of Design, Faculty of Arts, at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University as part of the Scientific Decade.

The event was conducted by members of the Union of Artists, the Union of Designers, and the Union of Craftsmen of the Republic of Kazakhstan — experienced masters Bolat Atamkulov and Usen Ibraimov. The topic of the master class was “Casting and Inlay (Metal and Wood)”. During the session, students were introduced to methods of creating jewelry by combining traditional craftsmanship techniques with modern technologies. The master class was held in a specially equipped classroom. This was due to safety requirements, as specialized equipment was used and processes involving fire were carried out. All safety and fire protection regulations were strictly observed. Students from 1st to 4th year actively participated in the master class. They had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and learned how to create silver jewelry, including earrings and rings.

This event contributed to the development of students’ professional skills, enhanced their creative thinking, and played an important role in their formation as future specialists. The master class, held within the framework of the Scientific Decade, became an effective platform for integrating knowledge and practice.
