Currently, 4th-year students of the university’s pedagogical programs are undergoing their industrial (teaching) practice. Students are gaining experience in educational institutions across the city of Almaty, improving their qualifications as future teachers. One of them, Nuray Yskak, conducted an open lesson at Specialized School-Lyceum № 178, demonstrating her level of professional preparedness. The Chairman of the Board – Rector of the university, Bolat Tilep, specially attended the open lesson and became acquainted with the work of the future teacher.

One of the important stages in the formation of future teachers as qualified specialists is the industrial practice within school walls. This period not only reinforces the student’s theoretical knowledge but also develops their pedagogical mastery, ability to work with a class, and skills to establish effective communication with students.

Today’s open lesson was conducted for 6th grade students on the topic “Features of animal movement and the musculoskeletal system.” During the lesson, the future teacher systematically organized the educational process and demonstrated a deep knowledge of her subject as well as the ability to effectively apply pedagogical methods. Modern educational technologies were widely used in the lesson: by using VR glasses and microscopes, the learning material was presented to students in a visual and engaging format. Interactive approaches increased students’ interest in the subject and contributed to the development of their research skills.

During the open lesson, the students quickly adapted to the teacher’s methodology, freely expressed their thoughts, and actively participated in discussions. This demonstrated that the future teacher is able to work effectively with the class and create a comfortable learning environment. The structure of the lesson, planned for 45 minutes, was fully maintained, and the teaching stages were implemented effectively. At the end of the lesson, the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Bolat Tilep, gave a positive assessment of the future teacher’s work.

– A teacher’s professional mastery is refined within the walls of the school. In today’s lesson, Nuray Erbolkyzy demonstrated confidence and presented the topic in a systematic and clear manner. Most importantly, she managed to spark students’ interest and teach them to think broadly and deeply. For a young specialist, this is a very good indicator, – said the rector.

It should be noted that this year 2,215 university students are undergoing industrial practice in schools. They have been distributed among 110 educational institutions located in the city of Almaty. Among them, 23 graduating students are gaining experience and improving their qualifications at Specialized School-Lyceum №178. They have the opportunity to conduct such open lessons and develop their professional skills.
