ABAI UNIVERSITY HOSTS JOB FAIR

Today, Abai University held a large-scale event titled “Job Fair – 2026.” The aim of the event was to directly connect graduating students with employers and assist them in determining their career paths. Around 250 organizations from across the country participated, offering job vacancies for young professionals and inviting future teachers to join their institutions.

At the opening ceremony, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Abai University, Banu Narbekova, delivered a speech, noting that the university’s partnership with employers continues to strengthen each year.

“Today, our university is one of the leading institutions that has established systematic cooperation with employers. Last year, 64 memorandums were signed, and this year the number has reached 78. In addition, practical training bases operate in 175 educational organizations under long-term agreements. This is a concrete result of our efforts in training highly qualified specialists,” said Banu Mukatayevna.

The Vice-Rector also emphasized that the fair is an important step for future teachers, marking the beginning of a new stage in their lives, and wished them success. During the event, university graduate and Director of School No. 171 in Almaty, Nurdaulet Serikuly, also spoke, highlighting the wide opportunities provided by the university for young professionals.

“At this institution, we received quality education and strong moral guidance. The knowledge and experience gained from our teachers have played a significant role in our professional lives. The key to success is honest work and continuous self-improvement,” he noted.

Approximately 250 organizations from different regions of the country took part in the job fair, including schools, colleges, kindergartens, and other educational institutions. Employers presented 1,214 job vacancies across various fields.

As part of the event, the digital platform mansap-bosoryn.kz was introduced, and the process of submitting online job applications was demonstrated in practice. The platform publishes job openings, allowing graduates to apply directly. Submitted applications are instantly sent to the employer’s email and WhatsApp contact number, ensuring a fast, transparent, and efficient recruitment process.

It is worth noting that this year, 2,800 students will graduate from Abai University with bachelor’s degrees across 81 educational programs. Most of them are future teachers of foreign languages, Kazakh language and literature, and physical education. In addition, 688 students across 52 specialties will receive master’s degrees and enter the labor market. Approximately 70% of graduates studied under state educational grants.
