From April 7 to 12, 2025, the exhibition "Open Library" was organized at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai as part of the Science Week. The event was dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev and was aimed at widely popularizing the work of the great Kazakh poet, as well as deeply familiarizing readers with his spiritual heritage.

During the Science Week, special events were held in the reading rooms of the university (Tole bi st. 86, Kazbek bi 30, Zhambyl 25), the purpose of which was to deepen knowledge about the work of Abai and increase interest in his works.

What awaited visitors during the days of "Ashik kitapkhan"?

A book exhibition dedicated to the works of Abai: valuable books and scientific research on the life and work of Abai were presented;

Screening of educational films: screening of the documentary series "Abai Kunanbayev"

Lectures and reports on Abai studies: interesting presentations on philosophy, poetic heritage and Abai's contribution to Kazakh literature;

Literary discussions based on the library collection: analysis of poems and "Words of Edification" with immersion in the thoughts of the great thinker;

Library night called "Artyk bilim kitapta...": the event allowed for a deeper understanding of Abai's wisdom and popularization of his literary heritage;

Open dialogues and discussions: discussion of the influence of Abai's work on modern society, education and culture.

The goal of the event is to popularize Abai's work, increase interest in literature and stimulate scientific research. Each participant was able to feel the depth of the great poet's thoughts and draw inspiration from his heritage.

These days, the library doors were open to everyone! This became an opportunity to touch the spiritual world of Abai and awaken love and respect for Kazakh literature.
