The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” annually conducts an independent and objective evaluation of higher education institutions’ educational programs and forms a ranking based on the real needs of the labor market. This project is aimed at a comprehensive assessment of the quality of academic programs, the employment rate of graduates, and the competitiveness of specialties.

In the evaluation system, qualitative indicators of educational programs account for 24%, program achievements for 16%, and general institutional indicators for 11%. The most significant criterion is graduates’ career prospects, which make up 49% of the total score. This indicator includes such key parameters as employment rate, job search duration, and average salary level. In this way, the Atameken ranking strengthens the link between higher education and the labor market, helping prospective students make informed choices about in-demand specialties.

In the 2025 Atameken ranking of educational programs, 45 programs of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University received high scores and were included in the ranking. This result confirms the university’s stable leadership in the field of teacher training.

Among these, 7 educational programs ranked first in their respective fields. These include: “Initial Military Training – Physical Education and Sports,” “Computer Science and Robotics,” “Chemistry,” “Geography” (IP), “Geography–History,” “Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge,” and “Special Pedagogy.” Graduates of these programs are highly востребованы (in high demand) in the labor market.

In addition, 10 educational programs of the university entered the TOP-3, while 28 programs were included in the TOP-10 list of the best educational programs. Programs such as “Preschool Education and Training,” “Pedagogy of Primary Education,” “Mathematics,” “Physics,” as well as “Computer Science in English” stand out for their high graduate employment rates.

According to the ranking results, the average employment rate of Abai University graduates is 81.3%, while the average job search duration is only 2.86 months. In some programs, these indicators are even higher: in “Geography–History” and “Social Pedagogy,” nearly 100% of graduates successfully integrate into the labor market immediately, while the employment rate in the “Computer Science and Robotics” program reaches 93%.

These data clearly demonstrate the growing demand in Kazakhstan for teaching professionals, specialists in digital technologies, and special education personnel. At the same time, they show that the university consistently updates its academic programs in line with labor market requirements and prioritizes practice-oriented education.

High results in the Atameken ranking once again prove that Abai University steadily improves the quality of education and prepares competitive specialists who meet modern standards. This is undoubtedly a reliable choice for applicants seeking quality education and a stable future.
