On December 1, 2025, the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology and the Department of Primary Education of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University announce the launch of the 4th Scientific Project Competition for Primary School Students of Almaty and Almaty Region.

Participants:
Students of grades 1-4 from educational institutions can take part in the Competition on a voluntary basis, provided that their research work or project follows the structure and requirements outlined in the Competition Regulations.
Age categories: Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4

Subject areas:
Educational projects and research in the fields of:
Mathematics, Kazakh/Russian/English Language, Literary Reading, Visual Arts, Technology, Physical Education, Music, World Around Us, Science, Digital Literacy;
Social projects.

Goals and Objectives of the Competition:
 Comprehensive development of the intellectual potential of students;
Involvement of students in research activities across various fields of science, technology, and culture;
Development of project, scientific, and analytical skills;
Practical application of knowledge gained during the learning process;
Organizational and methodological support for students inclined towards research activities.

Recommended Preparation Timeline:
January 10 - February 10, 2026 - School stage and selection of the best projects.
A protocol with recommendations for semi-final participation is drawn up based on school-level results.
February 10-20, 2026 - Students can improve their projects based on the recommendations received, obtain feedback from a scientific advisor (students, undergraduates, teachers, additional education instructors, or parents), and receive an external review (methodologists, university educators, or scientists in the field).

Competition Stages at Abai University:
By February 20, 2026 - Final deadline for submitting projects via the registration form.
All semi-final participants receive certificates of participation.
Only selected participants, based on the decision of the expert jury, advance to the final.

February 20 - March 20, 2026 - The expert commission (comprised of educators, master`s and doctoral students from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai University, partner universities, and schoolteachers of Almaty) evaluates submissions and selects finalists for public defense.

Final Stage:

April 11, 2026, on Science Day - Public presentation and defense of projects at Abai University, followed by an awards ceremony.
Finalists receive winner diplomas (1st-3rd places).
