Representatives of Abai University took part in an expanded meeting of the Educational and Methodological Association on the topic “Developing Competencies of Regional Governance Personnel.” During the meeting, issues related to the modernization of management-oriented educational programs in higher education institutions were discussed. Proposals were put forward to develop the professional competencies and modern qualifications of future specialists.

The expanded meeting was attended by Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education Gulzat Kobenova, Secretary of the “AMANAT” Party Sholpan Karinova, as well as representatives of Abai University: Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova, Academic Secretary of the Educational and Methodological Association under the Republican Educational and Methodological Association Zhanna Zhusupova, and the faculty members of the Department of Management.

Vice Minister Gulzat Isbasarovna addressed current issues related to the training of managerial personnel and the enhancement of their competencies within the higher education system. Projects proposed by the Political Management Academy of the “AMANAT” Party aimed at modernizing management-focused educational programs in higher education were presented.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Abai KazNPU, Banu Mukataevna, emphasized the practical significance of the new projects and put forward specific proposals. In particular, she suggested considering the expansion of the modular programs of the Political Management Academy or their use as minor programs. In addition, an initiative was proposed to establish a joint corps of lecturers and trainers in cooperation with higher education institutions and to develop systematic partnerships for the joint piloting of educational programs, updating their content, and improving their effectiveness.

These proposals are aimed at aligning the content of higher education with labor market requirements and enhancing the professional competencies of personnel needed in the field of management. They are intended to contribute to the strategic development of universities and strengthen academic cooperation among higher education institutions. Abai University will continue to support strategic initiatives at the national level and contribute to the development of educational programs.
