THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF ABILDA TABYLDIEV WAS CELEBRATED

Today, a roundtable discussion titled “Continuity of National Values and Ethnopedagogy in the Era of Digital AI” was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Abilda Tabyldiev, a prominent representative of Kazakh pedagogy and children’s literature, and one of the founders of ethnopedagogical science. The event was attended by the university leadership, well-known domestic scholars, and international experts from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, and Bashkortostan, who discussed the role of national upbringing in the global educational space.

This event became a strategically important scientific platform aimed at integrating the scientific legacy of a great figure shared by the Turkic world with the demands of the modern technological era. The university’s Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Ertay Sultan, highlighted Abilda Tabyldiev’s invaluable contribution to Kazakh science, noting that his works serve as a golden foundation for educating future generations. The scholar authored 38 books for children and numerous scientific studies, which have now become valuable teaching resources in the field of pedagogy.

In his research, Abilda Tabyldiev skillfully connected folk folklore, traditions, and the national code with child psychology. The event dedicated to the educator’s 100th anniversary demonstrated that many aspects of his work still remain to be studied. Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Rymshash Toleubekova provided an in-depth analysis of the scholar’s ethnopedagogical concepts, while Professor Berikzhan Almukhambetov emphasized the importance of integrating national values into today’s educational system.

At the international meeting, Turkish academic Ikram Chynar noted that Abilda Tabyldiev’s ideas influenced the formation of a common pedagogical space among Turkic-speaking nations. Publications on ethnopedagogy prepared jointly by scholars from five countries (Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan) were presented. Experts and participants unanimously agreed that enhancing the competitiveness of national upbringing in the era of artificial intelligence and digitalization is a key priority.

Following the discussion, specific proposals were adopted to modernize the scholar’s methodological works in new formats, integrate them into digital resources, and further deepen international cooperation. Such initiatives will strengthen the foundations of national pedagogy and promote the continuity of generations.
